John 'the Colonel' White spent a career in the Air Force. When he retired, he invested in the airport business and was the man to bring the use of Unique teleporters from the military sector into the free market, creating the first Teleportation-capable travel line in the world. When the New York Disaster occurred in April of 1994, the multibillionaire saw sadness - and opportunity - all around him. Having worked in the business of applying Uniques to the public good, he decided that the only remedy for the funk the country had fallen into was a super-group of fresh, new, All-American faces.
The Colonel searched the whole country to find the perfect Unique teens to make up his new team, not only diverse in abilities, but also in cultural backgrounds - they needed to be capable, but also to appeal to a broad range of people. His final trio consisted of Chris Williams of Philadelphia, Mandi Lee of Nashville, and Robbie Mason of Los Angeles. Taking on new names and costumes, carefully selected from a broad-ranging series of focus-groups, they became the Teen-Force 3.
They were immediately put into intensive and rigorous training, debuting on New Year's Eve, 1994, when the Hollywood New Year's celebration was attacked by super villain group - The Militia. Having saved the day, the TF3 became an instant success and won the hearts of a nation desperate for hope and happiness. They are a symbol of a brighter future, and idols for teens all over the world.
Since their debut, and in the absence of The League of Seven, the TF3 have become one of America's premier Unique teams, showing they have the skills to back up the immense popularity they've achieved. Meanwhile, The Colonel has reaped the benefits of his mass media enterprise: Posters, Magazines, Action Figures, Fast Food tie-ins, movie deals, and talks of possible record contracts - the TF3 are a multimedia explosion, and they are red-hot!
Some may doubt them, some may cringe at the blatant marketing campaigns of this over-managed and carefully groomed team of bright-faced young people, but nobody can argue that the Teen Force 3 are the biggest new super-group in decades. All that remains to be seen is whether the sudden and astonishing levels of fame will drive them to new heights of heroism, or break them apart just as they begin their young careers.
